You can learn so much by having a 3rd person judge you. When it comes to talents, mentors are preferred, but why is it so taboo to have a someone tell you when your relationship is obviously going sour? People get so defensive about their own lives that they get blinded by themselves. A trend I see is that people tend to ignore advice that deal with their relationships - even when they ask for it....

So I taught at City Dance last night and had an atypical number of new students - mostly girls. Two of them stood out because of their foreign accents when they asked questions. At the end of class, one of the girls approached me.
Girl: Hi I’m Sophie.
Me: Hey, I’m Jardy.
Sophie: I know! I watch your videos.
Not wanting to look judgmental, I refrained from asking her where she was...
